To demonstrate that photography was a medium capable of
expressing mood and emotion equal to painting or traditional
printmaking, photographers turned to the use of platinum and
photogravure among other new processes. This installation of
some 30 portraits, landscapes, and views of architecture dating
from the latter part of the 19th century and the early 20th century
highlight some of the most exquisite prints in the collection.
