MetroSonics foregrounds the wealth of sound-based artworks in the Library’s holdings, with an emphasis on the rare, unusual and pioneering examples of audio art in the Art Metropole Collection. Audiocentric artifacts produced by Canadian and international artists over the last fifty years are featured, such as album covers, CDs, books, posters, multiples, performance scores and other sonic ephemera. Organized by the National Gallery of Canada Library and Archives. Open during Library Reading Room hours.
