The works in this section were selected from the permanent collections of the National Gallery of Canada and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. They illustrate the principles of light and the technical evolution of photography. They also reveal how photographers through time have made use of this revolutionary technology to communicate their impressions of the world. A selection of 19th- and 20th-century cameras is also included. |
