Sophisticated ink-jet printers are being used increasingly by artists as a way of creating a print from a digital image. In this process, ink is sprayed onto paper in fine droplets. Iris prints are named after the IRIS Graphics printers used to make them. Printers like the IRIS can use high quality art papers. These give different effects. Some images can appear almost three dimensional because the ink is absorbed deeply by the paper. |
